Mike Cheng joined Frazier & Deeter in 2019 as the Partner who oversees the firm’s professional practices related to accounting and audit. As part of his role, Mike specializes in assisting clients with complex accounting and financial reporting issues.

 

Prior to joining Frazier & Deeter, Mike was a Senior Project Manager at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). At the FASB, Mike served as the Private Company Council (PCC) coordinator, where he was responsible for all PCC related matters. In addition, Mike led projects to: simplify the accounting for nonemployee share-based payments, help shape the future of the FASB technical agenda and improve consolidations guidance (VIE guidance). Most recently, Mike worked on the FASB’s implementation team on revenue recognition (ASC Topic 606) and lease accounting (ASC Topic 842).

 

Prior to joining the FASB, Mike held various management positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Mike was an Audit Senior Manager?Private Company Services in the firm’s Stamford, Connecticut office. From 2003-2011, he also held roles of increasing responsibility in PwC’s Core Assurance divisions in Buffalo and Rochester, New York.

Amy Flack is the Purchasing Manager for the Non-Capital Program with the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority at Tampa International Airport overseeing staff members, managing the solicitation process and assisting the Information Technology Services, Legal Affairs and Concessions departments with all their procurement needs.  She joined the Authority a little over two years ago. Prior to the Aviation Authority she was a Buyer for the District School Board of Pasco County for almost nine years overseeing staff members, training District personnel on procurement matters and providing support to 13 Maintenance Shops and Custodial Services.

Amy achieved her Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) designation in 2013 and her Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) designation in 2014.  She is an active member of the Institute for Public Procurement (NIGP), the Tampa Bay Area Chapter of NIGP, and the Airport Purchasing Group (APG).

Amy currently serves as the President for the Tampa Bay Area Chapter, was awarded the 2015 Buyer of the Year and 2017 Manager of the Year designations for her Chapter and is a member of NIGP’s Forum and Products Exposition Committee. She also serves as the Public Relations Director for the Airport Purchasing Group.

Mark Brechbill is the founder of Mark Brechbill, PLLC, a full service certified public accounting firm primarily serving the needs of small to mid-sized businesses in Stuart, FL and on the Treasure Coast. Mark concentrates most of his time in the firms’ business and tax consulting practices, assisting with business formation and organization, purchases and sales, and reorganizations. Prior to founding the firm in 1994, Mark spent over thirteen years in the banking industry, serving as Chief Operating Officer of a community bank and CFO of a $600 million regional bank. He also worked with McGladrey, Hansen, Dunn & Company, (now McGladrey), in their Peoria, Illinois office. Lt. Smith currently is the supervisor of the Office of Fiscal Integrity, Division of Investigative and Forensic Services, Department of Financial Services, Tallahassee, Florida.

Previously Lt. Smith supervised the Tallahassee Field Office overseeing General Insurance Fraud investigations. Before that he served as Lead Detective and was on the major case squad for the former Division of Insurance Fraud.

Lt. Smith previously worked a career as a Senior FDLE Special Agent wherein he performed assorted duties overseeing complex investigations in Florida’s Panhandle for over 20 years including: financial and public integrity crimes, narcotics violations, storm duty response and criminal intelligence coordination. Prior to these assignments he served in FDLE’s Jacksonville Field Office, Governor’s Protection detail and Division Inspector.

Michael grew up in Florida’s Panhandle where he attended Chipola Junior College and later got his Criminology degree from Florida State University, prior to starting his career at FDLE.

Brian Brynjolfsson, is a Financial Investigator with the Division of Investigative and Forensic Services, Department of Financial Services, Tampa, Florida.

Previously, Brian worked for the FBI in Tampa as a Forensic Accountant and Financial Analyst from 08/16/1999 to 12/31/2014. He has been a Certified Fraud Examiner since 12/12/2001. During his tenure with the FBI, he provided financial analysis for Special Agents on the White Collar Crime Squad investigating Political Corruption, Mortgage Fraud and Health Care Fraud.

Brian Brynjolfsson also worked the for the Resolution Trust Corporation in the Investigations Unit as an Investigator and as a Department Head. Prior to that Brian spent thirteen years as a banker, serving as a Vice President and Head of the Loan Department in a small bank in Illinois and as an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager in a large bank in Fort Lauderdale.

Brian grew up in suburban Chicago and attended the College of DuPage and later got his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Elmhurst College.

Bruce Nunnally has over 32 years of public accounting experience, including 9 years with the international public accounting firm, Ernst & Young, LLP.

During his career, Bruce served clients in a wide range of industries with varied financial reporting requirements. He has been directly responsible for directing audits serving small businesses to Fortune 200 companies.

Bruce is a national lecturer, presenting on a wide range of accounting and auditing topics. He also serves as an instructor of accounting and auditing for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
