9:05-10:05 a.m. General Session - Internal Fraud: It Isn’t Who You Think It Is and It Isn’t What You Think They’re Doing – Best Practices for Internal Fraud Prevention
“It will never happen to us” is the common attitude when considering the need for organization-wide fraud prevention efforts. This session changes the mindset we typically have regarding “who is committing fraud against their employers”. Armed with this new mindset, it becomes clear that all organizations need to address internal fraud prevention. With actual case stories from the presenter’s investigation practice, the session outlines the six design elements necessary for a properly functioning anti-fraud program.
